Training

As a part of its Capacity Building work, WRI India Sustainable Cities has been collaborating extensively with the Ministry of Urban Development, India, on their various efforts for building capacity and expertise for sustainable urban transport amongst individuals in India. Until now, WRI India Sustainable Cities has conducted over 60 training courses, workshops and seminars on sustainable urban transport for various cities in India, for government officials, industry and academia, training close to 2000 individuals through classroom sessions and study tours. WRI India Sustainable Cities also contributed to the development of ten training modules on sustainable urban transport planning for the UNDP and Ministry of Urban Development which is currently being used by national level trainers and city officials across the country as reference and training material. In addition to this, we partner regularly with academic institutes to deliver short courses around sustainable urban transport and urban planning for students pursuing their Master or doctoral degrees and other specialized courses around urban planning and design.
